We are more than a gym. We are a community.
My name is Michelle. I serve as Executive Director of the Fullmer Legacy Foundation. Every day I watch young people walk through our doors carrying more than gym bags. Some carry self-doubt. Some carry stress from home. Some carry real financial barriers. All of them carry potential.
They step into the ring. They start to learn.
The Foundation was built on the example of the Fighting Fullmer Brothers. Gene Fullmer became World Middleweight Champion, but the real legacy he and his brothers left behind was grit, discipline, faith, family, and hard work. They showed what it looks like to fight with integrity.
That is the standard we carry forward.
Today more than 250 youth come through the Fullmer Legacy Center each year!
Some come to box.
Some come for tutoring.
Some come because they need structure after school.
Some come because this is the safest place they know.
We provide youth boxing, academic support through the Fullmer Legacy Academy, scholarships for families who cannot afford program fees, and mentors who hold kids accountable while believing in them.
Demand is growing. More families are asking for scholarships. More youth need safe, structured space after school. We want to keep saying yes.
We see grades improve.
We see confidence grow.
We see young people begin to believe they belong somewhere.
This is not about creating champions in the ring.
It is about helping young people fight for their future with discipline, character, and a community behind them.
