Socks for the Streets
Powered by Your Local Boxing Community
The Need
People experiencing homelessness often lack access to one of the most basic essentials: clean, durable socks. They are one of the most requested and least donated items at shelters and outreach programs.
Socks provide comfort, protection, warmth, and dignity, yet the year-round need far exceeds the supply.
As fighters, coaches, and gym communities, we know what it means to step up when it counts. This campaign is our chance to fight for people who need it most.
What We’re Doing
We are uniting boxing gyms across the country to raise funds that will go directly toward purchasing high-quality Boxing Is Love socks made by BOXRAW. These socks are durable, comfortable, and ideal for everyday wear - the kind of quality that makes a real difference for someone living on the streets or in transitional housing.
Every five dollar donation = one pair of socks delivered to someone in need.
Our goal is $5,000, which will allow us to purchase and distribute 1,000 pairs of Boxing Is Love socks through participating boxing clubs.
How It Works
-
Boxing clubs invite their supporters, families, and communities to donate through this campaign.
-
All contributions are used exclusively to purchase Boxing Is Love socks in bulk at the lowest possible cost.
-
No funds are distributed to clubs or kept personally.
-
After the campaign ends, each club receives the exact number of socks their supporters helped raise.
-
Clubs then distribute those socks to people experiencing homelessness in their own communities.
This ensures transparency, fairness, and a direct line from donation to impact.
Where the Socks Go
Each participating club determines the best way to reach people in
need locally.
This may include:
-
Homeless shelters
-
Transitional housing programs
-
Street outreach teams
-
Mutual aid groups
-
Encampments
-
Direct distribution by coaches and athletes
This hyper-local approach ensures every pair reaches someone who will truly benefit.
